I know it's not related to comics at all, but I just watched it tonight and I have to say that it wasn't terrible at all. I mean, I wasn't expecting a horror movie, (I saw it billed as political satire) and I know y'all were, but I thought it did a pretty good job bridging the gap between those two genres. With all the shitty horror movies I hear y'all flinging about all the time, I don't think any of you would really dislike it. Give it a shot, see what you think and maybe we can chat about it.

i actually really enjoyed this. smith really delivered a movie that was totally different from his previous output. it wasn't groundbreaking, but it had a clear message, an actual visual style, and fantastic acting(michael parks was, and always is, unbelievably good). i definitely applaud KS for pushing himself to create a product that was outside his comfort zone, and applaud him more for succeeding. yeah, it's not modern horror (meaning it's not torture porn), it's more in the vein of late 70's styled horror. gritty, realistic, focused on people doing horrible things rather than supernatural/slasher scares. definitely worth watching.
